Recipes Using Ariel's Unique Honey Infusions

Homemade Honey Chai

We drink Chai morning, noon & night. It warms you from your head to your toes, & make's any rainy, cold day snuggled by the fire amazing!
Ingredients
1 Cup of water
4 Cups of Almond milk or Cow's milk
2 Sticks of cinnamon 
4 Black tea bags (you can use any black tea you like, I use a organic chai tea)
4-6 Heaping spoonfuls of Ariel's Chai Infusion (take honey & spices) 

 Bring water, milk & tea bags to a boil. Stir in Ariel's infused chai honey & spice's then lower the heat to a low simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
Steep for another 15 minutes over very low heat if you like your chai  stronger. 
Before straining your chai use the back of a spoon &
 gently press the tea bags to extract even more tea.
Strain into your favorite mugs & enjoy!

Coconut & Earl Grey Scones Drizzled with Ariel's Organic                                  Elderberry Infused Honey-

2 cups of unsweetened canned coconut milk
2 Tbs. of finely ground Earl Grey Tea
1 Tsp. of coconut extract
1 cup of unsweetened flaked coconut
5 cups of your flour of choice
1/2 cup of coconut sugar
1 Tbs. plus 2 Tsp. of baking powder
2 1/2 Tsp. of  salt
1/3 cup of unrefined coconut oil
1/2 cup of cold unsalted butter cubed
 4.5 oz jar of Ariel's Organic Elderberry Infused Honey for drizzling over warm scones or as a garnish.

In a small sauce pan bring coconut milk & tea to a boil. Remove from heat & stir in coconut extract. Let cool, refrigerate until chilled. Strain and discard solids.
At 350 degrees bake coconut for 8 minutes.
Then cool in bowl.
Whisk flour sweetener, baking soda & salt.
Add coconut oil & cold butter in, mix so it looks like pea size crumbles. Stir in toasted coconut & chilled tea/milk. Stir with fork until dough forms. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface, pat into a 9 inch circle 1 inch thick. Cut wedges 8/9.
Transfer to parchment paper lined baking sheet bake 25-35 minutes at 350. Garnish/ Drizzle Ariel's Organic Elderberry Infusion over warm scones. Enjoy with a nice cup of tea..

 Honey & Coconut Rice Pudding

The perfect sweet comfort food! A healthy & gluten free breakfast, snack or special dessert..  Coconut & honey are heavenly together YOU wont be disappointed.

1- 15 oz can of full fat coconut milk
1- cup of brown or white rice( I use brown basmati rice)
1/4- cup of Ariel's Golden Samurai Honey (Add more if you want it sweeter or want more spice)
2- tsp. of vanilla extract
 1 -cinnamon stick
1/2- tsp. of fresh ground nutmeg
1- cup of unsweetened Almond Milk
Pinch of salt
1 -cup of flame raisons
1/2- cup of shredded dried coconut
Boil coconut milk then add the rice.
Boil 5 more minutes, then simmer 20 minutes.
Stir in almond milk, honey, cinnamon stick, salt, nutmeg, coconut & raisons. Simmer another 20 minutes. Enjoy!


Herbal Honey Latte's
Steep almond milk, soy milk or cows milk with your favorite infusion-
These three infusions we recommend-
Lavender & Rose

 Lavender & Vanilla 
Chai 
Golden Samurai
Stir 
1 & 1/2 small spoonful's of your favorite Honey infusion into your warm milk choose,
Steep for 5-7 minutes, strain herbs & Enjoy!


Chai Breakfast Smoothie-
One big spoonful of Chai Honey or Golden Samurai ( more depending on your sweet tooth)
One frozen Banana
1/2 cup of unsweet Almond milk, soy milk or the milk that you enjoy..
1 heaping spoonful of  plain yogurt or Keffir
Ice Cubes
Extra options- almond butter-peanut butter-frozen Blueberries, dates or spirillina
Blend and Enjoy!

Baked Oatmeal
1/2 a cup of your favorite Honey Infusion
2 cups of rolled Organic Oats
2 eggs
1 1/2 Teaspoons of Vanilla
1 Mashed ripe banana 
2 Cups of unsweet Almond milk-Soy milk or milk of your choose
1 tsp. of salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cups of frozen local(if possible) blueberries 
Combine all the dry ingredients
Combine all the wet ingredients 
Butter a 8" pan square or round 
Lay the dry ingredients down first in the pan
Then pour the wet ingredients over and mix well
Bake 350 for 25-35 minutes
Extra-Drizzle infused honey and add a spoonful of greek yogurt onto each serving.

Cheese Plate Paired with Sage or Hot Pepper Honey  
Here in Vermont we have so many amazing local cheese producers.
When having friends or visitors over I like to make a cheese board highlighting Ariel's Honey Infusions drizzled over the top of Brie-Blue Cheese-Sharp aged Cheddar or a nice goat cheese. Sage, Elderberry & Hot Pepper honey seem to get the biggest buzz when paired with cheese. THE NEWEST ALDER SMOKED SEA SALT IS A HIT WITH ANY CHEESE PLATE!

Honey Coconut Morning Glory Muffins 
I cup of Whole Wheat or gluten free baking mix
1/2 cup of organic rolled oats
2 teaspoons of baking powder- if you used G.F. Baking mix you do not need this
2 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon 
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 organic eggs
1 cup of unsweetened apple sauce
1/3 a cup of your favorite honey infusion ( I like chai or elderberry in this)
2 teaspoons of vanilla 
1/4 cup of coconut oil
2 cups of grated organic carrots
1/2 cup of currents or raisons
1 cup of blueberries frozen or non frozen
Mix all dry ingredents in one bowl and wet in another- fold in dry gently and divide the batter among the muffin cups.
Pre heat oven to 350-butter 6 or 12 cup muffin tin well.
Bake 30-45 minutes

Honey Lip Balm
1 oz bees wax (about 2 tbsp)
1 oz shea butter ( about 2 tbsp)
1/2 oz coconut oil (about 1 tbsp)
1/2 oz almond oil (about 1 tbsp)
1/4 oz of your favorite honey infusion- I like to use Lavender & Vanilla or Lavender & Rose (about 1/2 tbsp)
few drops of vitamin e 
Directions: In a double boiler or very small sauce crockpot melt bees wax slowly. Add shea butter and wait a few minutes until it melts. Add coconut oil and almond oil,  stir until melted and combined. Add honey infusion and whisk well (it can be difficult to mix the honey throughout the oil wax mixture.)  Place in tins or empty lip balm tubes and let cool on the counter. I know it might be hard but wait until completely cooled! Enjoy!

Marinade Salmon, Chicken, Beef or Tofu
Any of these four Honey Infusions are great to marinade with:
Sage
Hot Pepper
Garlic-Ginger & Lemon (Immune Buzzer)
Alder Smoked Sea Salt

Use honey as a glaze over the top of fish and bbq or bake (Salmon) is my suggestion.
Chicken wings with hot pepper honey, yes please!
Add a honey infusion as a glaze over bbq meats or mix a honey infusion into a marinade to bake with.

A sweet treat for a special someone !
Follow your favorite martini recipe and add a twist of Ariel's Honey Infusions!


Hot Toddy is a mixture of (usually whisky, rum, or brandy), boiling water, and your favorite honey infusion. (Chai or Golden Samurai Pairs amazing) Ingredients such as cloves, a lemon slice or cinnamon  stick or ground form I also add in from the infusion. The drink can also be made with tea instead of water.


Buzz off Cold

 Organic Elderberry Infusion - mix a good size spoonful into hot water and steep 5 minutes, eat plain by the spoonful or spread over toast.

 Ariel's Sage Infusion- Organic fresh lemon & hot water.. Steep 5-10 minutes with or without your favorite tea bag..


Immune Buzzer steeped in hot water for 5-8 min. Or spread on some toast.

Creamy Coconut Turmeric Oatmeal


 1  & 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup of full fat canned coconut milk
1/3 cup of orange juice
1 cup of oats
1/2 teaspoon + 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla 
2-3 tablespoons of Ariel's Chai Honey Infusion or Golden Samurai.
(depends on how sweet you want it)
 1 cup of shredded coconut
 1 cup of golden raisons
Boil water and coconut milk.
Then stir in oatmeal, oj, salt & turmeric.
Stir occasionally until thick & creamy.
Last stir in honey, raisons & coconut.
Enjoy!!

GOLDEN SAMURAI "GOLDEN MILK" LATTE

One tablespoon of Golden Samurai per serving
Milk  ( coconut, almond, soy, plain milk)
Boil & stir milk & honey together- simmer for 5 minute's- ready to enjoy!
